Practical Points

What are the times of the school day?
The school day starts at 9.00am and finishes at 3.00pm. Nursery sessions are from 9-11.30am and 12.30-3.00pm.

Is there a school uniform?
Yes, we believe it helps to develop a sense of pride and belonging to the school. At the request of the majority of parents we do have a list of suggested school clothes which are designed to be good value for money. You can get more information from the school office.

How will I know what is going on at school?
We send home a newsletter on a Friday most weeks, which is also available here. Each class has a notice board for their news and we invite parents to join us for coffee mornings and assemblies.

Does the school offer anything extra for children?
We often arrange out-of-school visits and visitors to the school because we think that children can learn a great deal from these experiences. The children swim in our heated pool from around the end of March until October. They are taught by qualified instructors. We sometimes organise lunchtime activities or after-school clubs for the children.

Will there be any charges for school activities?
We ask parents to make voluntary contributions towards some extra activities including swimming.

Are there care facilities before and after school?
We run a "Breakfast Club" from 8.00am until the start of school. It costs 2 and is a drop-in service (you don't need to book). After school is "Kids Club" which is 6 and you can collect a leaflet from the office.
